Frequently asked questions

The things people ask us most, from pricing and payment to how your card reaches us.

Pricing and the repair

Our prices are fixed and shown before you book, and the listed price covers all of our work. Find your card on the GPU repair page to see its exact figure. If the repair needs replacement memory, the chips are charged at our published menu prices, and occasionally another small part such as a power-management IC is needed too; anything your card needs is agreed with you before we fit it.

If the repair is not successful, you pay nothing for our work. You can have your card returned at your expense, or donate it to us as unrepairable.

Sometimes, and we always say why. The usual reasons: the repair would cost more than the card is worth, a needed part cannot be sourced, the damage is too extensive to make economic sense, an earlier repair attempt elsewhere has left the board unreliable to diagnose, or the card shows signs of counterfeit or tampered hardware. A declined card is returned and you pay nothing for our work.

There is nothing to pay to start, because payment is only taken after a successful repair, before the card ships back. Return shipping on a successful repair is free, by Royal Mail Tracked 48.

We accept card and bank transfer. The listed price is the price you pay whichever method you choose, with no surcharge on any payment method.

Yes. Successful repairs carry a 90-day warranty, with a small number of stated exclusions. A valid claim is repaired free of charge. Our warranty page explains exactly what is covered and how to make a claim.

How the 90 day warranty works

We diagnose your card shortly after it arrives and confirm timing with you. Most repairs are turned around quickly when the parts are in stock.

Sending your card

You can post it to us, drop it off in Milton Keynes by appointment, or let us generate a Royal Mail label for you at the booking stage. Pack it to our packaging guide and mark the parcel FRAGILE.

How mail-in works

Yes. Every card is logged in the moment it arrives, and anything worth recording about the way it reached us goes on your repair page, including photographs of the parcel and the card, and a filmed unboxing where the packaging looks like it has taken a knock. Our premises are monitored and higher-value parcels are signed for. Successful repairs are backed by our 90-day warranty, which carries a small number of stated exclusions.

Yes. We email you as your repair moves through each stage, from received to tested to shipped, while your ticket page shows the same picture live.

We repair AMD RX 7000 and RX 9000 series cards. The fixed price covers no-display, no-power, and physical or liquid damage faults. For any other AMD fault, we review and quote it individually.

Donated cards and where we are

If a repair cannot be completed and you choose to donate the card to us instead of paying for return shipping, ownership transfers to us. We may use it for parts or resell it. We log the serial number of every donated card at the point of donation. Donating is always your choice and never the default.

We are based in Milton Keynes and take mail-in repairs from anywhere in the UK, with local drop-off by appointment. Our full location and contact details are on our location page.
